British Chinese Corporation reports preparations are being rade to destroy property of Canton-Kowloon Railway in case of emergency and for this purpose troops have been sent to various
stations.
2.
Security for Canton-Kowloon loan 1907 is property of railway and article 7 of loan agreement stipulates that railway property shall not be injured.
5. Please make immediate representations to Chinese Government against any destruction of railway property or
interference with its operation.
4. I am instructing His Majesty's Consul General Canton to
protest locally.
